Bentley Academy Innovation School is proud to be a recipient of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) initiative, a federally funded competitive grant program authorized under Title IV, Part B of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015.

This grant allows us to provide academically enriching Out-of-School Time (OST) programming during both the school year and summer. Our programs are designed to support student needs through evidence-based, systemic practices, aligning with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (DESE) Vision for Deeper Learning. (DESE Website)

Our programming focuses on:

  • Strengthening student learning by using effective instructional practices that promote DESE’s vision for deeper learning.
  • Creating a dynamic learning environment that inspires meaningful, sustained engagement and contributes to students’ mastery, identity, and creativity.
  • Cultivating systems that support the whole child and foster joyful, healthy, and supportive learning environments where all students feel valued, connected, and empowered.
  • Engaging students in linguistically and culturally sustaining ways, with a particular focus on those with identities that have been historically marginalized.
  • Using data effectively to design programming that addresses specific student needs.
