School Behavior Specialist

Hi, my name is Nichole Kernweis and I am the Behavior Specialist for Bentley. I grew up right next door in Peabody and I recently just moved to Beverly. I have always been really passionate about helping others, specifically children. I am currently in a Master’s Program for Applied Behavior Analysis. I have had the opportunity to work in a number of different settings including public schools, home services, community services, and ABA therapy facilities. As part of my role in the building, I work with the Student Support Team to: 

• Assist and support with identifying root causes of challenging behaviors.
• Collaborate and consult with colleagues to develop, implement, and adapt behavior plans that support growth towards social emotional and academic learning goals.
• Model and provide staff with resources and strategies to promote positive classroom management.
• Implement evidence based strategies to ensure goals of students are being met and collect data to monitor the progress of students.
